The History of Film Trailers

Here is a timeline showing the way trailers have changed over the last 100 years. It ranges from the first ever trailer to how trailers are produced in the 20th Century.

Mood Board and Inspiration for Narrative

This is the first mood board we created with our initial thoughts of our chosen genre, social realism.

We visioned to create a gritty and grunge themed trailer relating to social realism. The images above include the existing film Adulthood, a popular Rihanna music video 'We Found Love' and past A2 media studies products and images found on We Heart It.

We liked the images which featured a silhouette figure and the foreground being more in focus than the background. These images also helped to plan the style of how we wanted our main character to appear. Including a darker, grunge look, ripped tights, baggy clothing, dark colour, smudged make up and general unkept and dirty image.
